Meet the team.
We are Claire and Rimbaud, two Frenchies who met at English National Ballet School before making our way up to bonnie Scotland.
I, Rimbaud, was born in Grenoble, and trained at the National Conservatoire of Paris, Paris Opera Ballet School and English National Ballet School. I joined Scottish Ballet in 2012 and was promoted to First Artist in 2016, and to Soloist in 2023, where I currently still perform. Additionally, in 2017, I was appointed Scottish Ballet's Artist In Residence Photographer.
Claire was born in Bordeaux and trained at the Marseille Ballet School and English National Ballet School. After a year performing at Narodni Divadlo Brno (Czech Republic), she joined Scottish Ballet in 2013, and was promoted to First Artist in 2016 and to Soloist in July 2018.
Alongside our careers as professional dancers, we developed our love for photography, and specialised in dance and portrait photography. Whether it is on or off the stage, in a studio or on location, our background and experience as professional dancers is invaluable to our photography. The time we spend rehearsing and performing gives us an edge and an ability to foresee the dancer's movement and capture the perfect moment.
With a desire to always achieve perfection, each photoshoot is personalised to the dancer, recognising their needs and ambitions, and working together to produce the best photographs, ensuring that every dancers is shown at their finest. While I will be the one shooting during your photoshoot, Claire will be assisting me, sharing her expertise and knowledge with you, to make your experience and your photographs even better. Claire and I's careers as dancers allow us to demonstrate poses as well as give genuine and relevant advice. You will also be able to view your images during the shoot to make sure we are all entirely happy.
“My daughter enjoyed her photo shoot with Rimbaud, he was so professional and helpful ensuring Jennifer got the most from her photo shoot. The photos have arrived today and are stunning, having Claire and Rimbaud’s dance knowledge was invaluable. We will definitely be in touch again soon. Thank you!”
